Dear architects! Today is your holiday - World Day of Architecture. You have chosen a profession that has always been a need for people, which is the ornament of life. One has only to recall the invaluable contribution of architects from ancient times to the present day, as you know, that the architecture - an art where you need inspiration.
So please, let us wish that all your planned works never let you leave - otherwise, your work can not be called - always preceded by a life! To the wall, built by your project stand forever as the Great Wall of China, the houses were intact, as the Egyptian pyramids, and please the eye as Bakhchisarai fountain! We would like to wish, that in your works closely intertwined power of stone and the unique beauty of nature with its perfectly shaped! In September 1946, the UK capital city of London, held an international meeting of architects, among whom were delegates from the Soviet Union. At this meeting, almost unanimously, it was decided to create a new organization, dubbed the International Union of Architects (IUA). Nowadays there are about a hundred IUA national sections whose members are over a million architects from around the world.
Nearly four decades later, in 1985 at a meeting of the "International Union of Architects," has decided to celebrate "World Day of Architecture" on the first Monday of July. However, in 1996, in Barcelona, Spain, at its twentieth General Assembly of IUA decided to extend the "World Day of Architecture" on the first Monday in October - on the day on which under the auspices of the United Nations World Day of the home (World Habitat Day.)
"World Day of Architecture" already has its own traditions on this day architects all over the world are going to conferences, workshops and forums, share their knowledge and experiences, solve problems associated with construction and restoration of buildings and structures, organize thematic discussions and debates.
