Seminar on "Fundamentals of Earthquake Engineering"

In accordance with the order of RSE "Gosexpertiza" in the framework of the implementation of measures for ongoing training of personnel, c 14 to April 15, 2016 as a branch of RSE "Gosexpertiza" in Almaty for the experts of territorial divisions RSE "Gosexpertiza" seminar on the topic was held "Fundamentals of Earthquake Engineering".
The purpose of training: training of the employees of RSE "Gosexpertiza" for work in areas of high seismic risk of the Republic of Kazakhstan; obtaining permit to work in seismic areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
the following topics during the seminar:
1) the nature and causes of earthquakes, the expected damage from possible earthquakes, the socio-economic aspects of impacts of earthquakes;
2) the basic provisions of building codes, regulations;
3) construction in seismic areas: seismic safety of buildings existing buildings, seismic isolation systems and active seismic protection, the basic methods of seismic reinforcement of buildings and structures;
4) other issues.
After the seminar the participants received certificates.
